    Built for real-world CSV files

Exports from banks, CRMs, stores and databases rarely look the same. makiconvertpro handles the quirks that usually break a spreadsheet:

    • Any separator. Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe files are detected automatically.
    • International text. UTF-8, UTF-16 and Windows-1252 files keep accents, symbols and non-Latin scripts.
    • Safe IDs and codes. Leading zeros in ZIP codes, phone numbers and product codes are preserved.
    • Quoted fields. Commas and line breaks inside quotes stay in the right cell.
    • No formula surprises. Cells that start with = are stored as plain text, never run as formulas.
    • Ready to read. Column widths are sized to your data, and the header row is bold, filtered and frozen.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is makiconvertpro free?

Yes. The converter is free to use, with no sign-up and no limit on the number of files.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs in your browser with JavaScript. Your CSV never leaves your device, so private data such as customer lists or financial exports stays with you.

Does it keep leading zeros in ZIP codes and IDs?

Yes. Values such as 00123 are kept as text, so Excel does not strip the zeros. Only plain numbers like 42 or 12.50 become numeric cells.

    Which delimiters does it support?

Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe. Auto-detect picks the right one for most files, and you can set it by hand from the Separator menu.

Why do special characters look wrong in my file?

makiconvertpro reads UTF-8, UTF-16 and Windows-1252 files. If characters still look wrong, re-export the CSV as UTF-8 from the original program and convert it again.

What is the maximum file size?

Files up to 80 MB are accepted. Excel itself allows 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns per sheet, and the converter tells you if a file goes past those limits.

Does the Excel file work in Google Sheets and LibreOffice?

Yes. The output is a standard .xlsx file that opens in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc and Apple Numbers.
